I finally got a good picture of one of American Airlines One World 777s. I've been trying to catch one of these birds for a long time now.

A British Airways 747-400. Very rare in Dallas. These planes will be subbing for the usual 777-200 for the next ten days, so if you want to see a passenger 747 at DFW, this is the week to do it.

This hawk won the day though.

Knowing that there were only six flights left in the Space Shuttle program, and that NASA prefers to land the Shuttle in Florida, I considered the chances of a Space Shuttle landing in California again to be pretty slim. That’s why, with Discovery on the ground in California and ready to be ferried back to Florida, Sig’o and I had been keeping close track of any announcements for the route it would travel.

Monster Hunter International is back on store shelves again.

That’s good news by the way.

The book won’t help you understand string theory, it won’t fix your failing relationship (well, probably not) and it won’t ever appear on Oprah’s Book Club… What it will do is keep you entertained from cover to cover. That is, if you can be entertained by a random smattering of common people drawn in by extraordinary circumstances to fight ultimate evil and the living dead, while slinging witty rejoinders and a couple gallons of butt kicking.

Highly recommended guilty pleasure reading.

PS: The vampires don’t sparkle.
